Ferrari 330 P4 (MFH kit): first steps

I was going to tackle the 330 P4 for a Ford versus Ferrari competition theme, but I didn't have the time to get it done. Partly this was deciding whether to build the MFH kit or the Fujimi styrene kit with the HRM resin motor. In the end the MFH kit won out.

The engine was straightforward enough, except for the spark plugs (all 24 of them) located immediately under the throttle slides. It's pretty well done, just needs a bit of a wash.

The rear of the chassis also went together surprisingly well.

Next is getting body panels to line up with each other and with the chassis. These large white metal parts are easily bent, in spite of the weight.

So onwards! (In case you are wondering the Estafette is on hold while I summon the courage to deal with the multi-piece body.) Stay tuned.
